China: Growth in house prices stabilizes in April
House prices in 70 large- and medium-sized cities rose 0.6% in April in month-on-month terms according to a weighted average index calculated by Thomson Reuters from data issued by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). The print matched the result in March. According to the NBS, the sale prices of newly constructed residential buildings increased in 67 cities (65 in March).
House prices rose 10.7% annually in April, up from a 10.6% increase in March and the strongest print in two years. Annual average growth in house prices increased from 7.8% in March to 8.3% in April.
