Natural gas EU prices averaged USD 8.56 per MMBtu in March, up 5.1% from February. On 29 March, the commodity traded at USD 8.65 per MMBtu, up 9.6% from 29 February.
Outages led U.S. LNG exports to Europe to dip in March from February, threatening the supply outlook along with Ukrainian attacks on Russian refineries. However, above-average temperatures in March in Europe hit heating demand and led EU gas storage to be 58% full on 31 March, above the five-year seasonal average of 42%.
