Molybdenum Prices

Molybdenum prices averaged USD 66,882 per metric ton in July, up 0.3% from June. On 31 July, the commodity traded at USD 71,099 per metric ton, up 6.6% from 30 June.

Average molybdenum prices were little changed in July, remaining at a 38-month high. Supply constraints from adverse weather, high energy costs, and declining ore grades continued to support prices, while growing use of molybdenum in AI chips as a substitute for tungsten provided an additional boost.
