Cobalt prices plunged in recent weeks, due to weak demand and increased supply. Prices averaged USD 36,615 per metric ton in February, which was down 25.1% from January’s price and 48.8% lower than in the same month last year. Meanwhile, on 28 February, cobalt traded at USD 33,746 per metric ton, which was 30.5% lower than on the same day of the previous month.
