Average arabica coffee prices rose in April on tighter global stocks, rains in Brazil delaying harvest and supply concerns over the El Niño weather pattern. Prices averaged USD 196 cents per pound in April, which was up 4.4% than March’s price but was down 13.5% from the same month last year. On 28 April, arabica traded at USD 189 cents per pound, which was up 6.0% from the same day of the previous month.
