Wool prices averaged AUD 1,157 per kilogram in March, down 0.3% from February. On 29 March, the commodity traded at AUD 1,142 per kilogram, down 1.4% from 29 February.
Australian wool prices eased further in March, as the commodity continued to feel the brunt of depressed global economic growth and still-tight financing conditions. Nevertheless, demand from China remained upbeat, offering some support to prices.
