Australian wool prices declined steadily in May on a strong Australian dollar and subdued demand. In May, wool prices averaged AUD 1,266 cents per kilogram, which was 2.5% lower than April’s price and was down 10.6% from the same month last year. On 31 May, wool traded at AUD 1,209 cents per kilogram, which was down 7.1% from the same day of the previous month.
