Slovakia: Inflation eases in April
Consumer prices rose 0.2% month-on-month in April, down from March’s 0.6% increase. The deceleration was chiefly led by softer prices for food and falling prices for alcoholic beverages and tobacco.
Inflation moderated to 2.4% in April (March: 2.7%), while harmonized inflation also softened to 2.4% (March: 2.7%). Meanwhile, annual average inflation inched down to a one-year-low of 2.5%, from 2.6% in March.
