Ukraine: Inflation hits over six-year high in April amid Russian invasion
Consumer prices increased 3.1% over the previous month in April, slowing down from the 4.5% increase recorded in March. April’s result was mainly driven by lower prices for food.
Inflation inched rose to 16.4% in April from March’s 13.7%, marking the highest figure in over six years. Annual average inflation rose to 11.0% in April (March: 10.4%). Lastly, core inflation came in at 13.0% in April from the previous month’s 10.5% increase.
