Sweden: CPIF rises again in November
Consumer price inflation with a fixed interest edged up to 9.5% in November, above Octobers 9.3%. Looking at the details of the release, the pickup was driven by brisker prices increases for housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels and food and non-alcoholic beverages. Despite the acceleration, the reading came in marginally below the Riksbanks expectations, opening the door to smaller rate increases ahead.
Accordingly, the trend pointed up, with annual average inflation coming in at 7.2% in November (October: 6.7%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation rose to 11.5% in November, from Octobers 10.9%.
Finally, consumer prices with a fixed interest rate increased 0.72% from the previous month in November, contrasting October’s 0.12% fall.
