Sweden: Industrial production tumbles in December
Industrial production excluding energy decreased 1.6% in calendar- and seasonally-adjusted terms in December, contrasting the revised 1.7% increase in November (previously reported: +2.1% month-on-month). December’s reading was due to output drops in both the manufacturing sector and the mining and quarrying sector.
On a year-on-year basis, industrial production decreased 2.4% in December, contrasting the 0.4% increase in November. Annual average growth in industrial production slowed to 1.2% in December from 1.5% in November.
