Sweden: Industrial production picks up in February
According to Statistics Sweden, total industrial production excluding energy increased a seasonally-adjusted 0.4% in February over the previous month, contrasting January’s revised 0.2% decline (previously reported: + 0.1% month-on-month). February’s expansion was driven by growth in the manufacturing and mines and quarries subsectors.
On a year-on-year basis, industrial production grew 2.3% in February, up from January’s 1.0% gain. Annual average growth in industrial production eased from 2.9% in January to 2.7% in February.
