Spain: Retail sales lose considerable traction in October
Retail sales rose 2.4% year-on-year in October, decelerating from the 3.6% rise logged in September. October’s slowdown largely reflected downturns in sales of personal and household equipment goods.
On a distribution-based system, purchases at single retail, small chain and large chain stores slowed compared to September, and sales at department stores swung from expansion to a small contraction in October.
Annual average retail sales growth moderated to 2.1% in October from 2.2% in the previous month.
