Slovenia: Inflation edges down in July
Consumer prices fell 0.9% month-on-month in July, after coming in flat in June. Five out of the 12 sub-components recorded an increase in prices from the previous month, five of the categories saw a decline, while the remaining two registered a flat reading. Prices for recreation and culture increased the most, while prices for furnishings, household equipment and routine household equipment dropped by the biggest magnitude.
Inflation edged down to 1.9% in July from 2.1% in June. Harmonized consumer prices fell 0.8% month-on-month after coming in flat over the previous month. Meanwhile, harmonized inflation edged down to 2.1% in July from 2.3% in June. Annual average harmonized inflation in July inched down to 1.7% from 1.6% in June.
