Slovenia: Industrial production growth climbs to three-month-high in April
Industrial production increased 5.7% on an annual basis in April, accelerating from March’s revised 3.5% outturn (previously reported: +2.9% year-on-year). A breakdown by sub-components revealed that stronger manufacturing activity and a soft rebound in utilities drove April’s pick-up. In contrast, mining and quarrying output contracted in the month.
On a month-on-month basis, industrial output increased 1.8% in April, following March’s revised 0.3% contraction (previously reported: -1.4% month-on-month). Meanwhile, average annual growth in industrial production edged down to 3.9%, from 4.0% in March.
