Romania: Industrial output rebounds in April
Industrial output rose 1.4% on an annual basis in April, contrasting a 0.2% year-on-year fall in March. According to the Statistical Institute, April’s rebound was attributable mainly to gains in the manufacturing sector, as well as in the mining and quarrying sector.
Annual average industrial output growth, meanwhile, slipped to 2.2% from 2.5% in March.
On a seasonally- and working day-adjusted basis, industrial output increased 1.1% month-on-month in April (March: +0.4% month-on-month s.a.).
