Netherlands: Business sentiment moderates in November
Confidence among Dutch manufacturers decreased in November from 3.6 in the prior month to 2.8. However, the index remained above the long-term average over the past 20 years of 1.0 and north of the neutral zero-threshold that separates optimism from pessimism.
The downtick came on the back of less rosy views on business expectations and order books. Meanwhile assessments of stocks of finished goods worsened as well, and a majority of manufacturers consider their stocks of finished goods to be too large. However, the majority of goods-producers continued to expect a rise in production in the next three months and see their order positions as strong.
