Luxembourg: Harmonized inflation climbs in January
Consumer prices fell 0.6% over the previous month in January, contrasting December’s 0.1% rise. The figure largely reflected markedly lower prices for clothing and footwear, as well as lower prices for recreation and culture; and furnishings, household equipment and routine household maintenance.
Meanwhile, inflation ticked up to 1.9% in January from 1.7% in December, while harmonized inflation climbed to 2.5% from 1.8%. Lastly, annual average inflation inched up to 1.8% in January, from 1.7% in December.
