Lithuania: Economic growth remains healthy in Q2
According to a flash estimate released by the Statistical Institute on 30 July, the Lithuanian economy expanded 3.7% in annual terms in Q2, unchanged from the first quarter’s revised print (previously reported: +3.6% year-on-year). Healthy growth in the quarter came on the back of sturdy performances in wholesale and retail trade, as well as the services sectors.
In seasonally- and working-day adjusted quarter-on-quarter terms, GDP rose 0.9% in the second quarter, also unchanged from the previous quarter’s revised print (previously reported: +0.8% quarter-on-quarter).
A more detailed breakdown of the Q2 result will be released on 31 August.
