Greece: Industrial production growth slows in December
Industrial production rose 1.1% year-on-year in working-day adjusted terms in December, moderating from November’s revised 4.2% expansion (previously reported: +3.1% year-on-year), which had marked an over one-year high. December’s moderation was chiefly driven by the mild contraction in manufacturing output, which rose strongly in the previous month.
On a month-on-month basis, industrial production dipped 1.6% in December, contrasting the 3.6% increase logged in November. Meanwhile, annual average growth in industrial production ticked down from 1.1% in November to 1.0% in December.
