France: Industrial output ticks up in April
Seasonally-adjusted industrial output expanded 0.4% month-on-month in April, on the heels of a revised 1.1% month-on-month contraction in March (previously reported: -0.9% month-on-month s.a.). Output gains in the mining, quarrying and utilities sector were offset by output losses in the construction sector. Manufacturing output, meanwhile, was roughly stable from March.
On an annual basis, industrial output rose 1.1% in April (March: -0.7% year-on-year). Meanwhile, annual average variation was stable from March at minus 0.1%.
