Czech Republic: Economic growth slows to a near-two year low in Q3
Annual GDP growth moderated from 2.4% in the second quarter to a near-two year low of 2.3% in the third quarter in seasonally- and price-adjusted terms, according to preliminary data released by the Czech Statistical Office (CSO) on 14 November. The main contributors to the third-quarter expansion were public spending and private consumption growth, which was likely buttressed by the extremely tight labor market and robust wage gains. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, GDP growth also decelerated from 0.7% in Q2 to 0.4% in Q3.
More detailed data will be released on 14 November.
