Costa Rica: Inflation accelerates in February
Consumer prices increased 0.29% in February in month-on-month terms, up from the 0.11% increase in January. The increase in February was due to higher prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages.
Inflation accelerated to 1.8% in February from 1.6% in January, coming closing to the Central Bank’s 2.0%–4.0% target range. Annual average inflation was unchanged at 2.1% in February.
