Angola: Inflation falls to lowest level since December 2015 in January
Inflation dropped to 12.5% in January, following December’s 13.9%. January’s result represented the lowest inflation rate since December 2015. Fuel subsidies and a strong harvest are key drivers of inflation’s continued downtrend.
Meanwhile, the trend pointed down as annual average inflation dropped to 20.1% in January from 21.4% in December.
Lastly, consumer prices increased 0.83% from the previous month in January, which was below December’s 0.87% increase.
