Uruguay: Inflation continues to rise in March
Consumer prices rose 1.11% over the previous month in March, weaker than February’s 1.47% jump. March’s softer increase was primarily driven by a weaker increase in prices for food, health and shelter.
Inflation came in at 9.4% in March, which was stronger than February’s 8.9% reading. Moreover, annual average inflation increased to 7.8% in March, from 7.7% in February.
