Turkey: Consumer sentiment ticks up in October but remains deeply pessimistic
Consumer confidence rose to 76.2 in October, up from September’s 72.4. However, the index remained entrenched below the 100-threshold, signaling sustained pessimism among consumers.
The headline improvement came on the back of less downbeat views regarding households’ financial situation at present and in the next 12 months. Consumers’ views on the general economic situation in the year ahead also turned less pessimistic.
