Taiwan: Industrial output rises in June
Industrial output expanded 7.3% compared to the same month of the previous year in June, which followed May’s 1.7% increase.
June’s upturn was primarily due to an improvement in manufacturing and electricity and gas supply production.
On a seasonally-adjusted monthly basis, factory output rebounded 1.5% in June (May: -0.8% mom), the best result since January. Annual average industrial production growth rose to 4.6% in June (May: +3.9%), signaling an improving trend in the industrial sector.
