Sweden: Economic sentiment rises in November
Economic sentiment rose to 83.1 in November from October’s 81.9. Despite the uptick, the index remained entrenched below the long-term average of 100, pointing to a muted near-term outlook for the economy.
The headline print reflected healthier sentiment in the construction sector. This more than offset deteriorating sentiment in the industrial, services and retail sectors. Lastly, consumer sentiment was up in November.
Relating to indicators that are not used to calculate the index, employment expectations weakened, while the economic uncertainty index rose in November.
