Spain: Retail sales deteriorate in November
Retail sales fell 0.8% year on year in November (October: +1.5% yoy). The notable downturn was largely driven by contractions in large chain stores and single retail stores sales.
On a seasonally and calendar adjusted monthly basis, retail sales rose at a quicker rate of 3.8% in November (October: +0.4% mom), the best result since April. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of retail sales coming in at an over one-year low of 0.0%, down from October’s plus 0.6% reading.
