Spain: Industrial output growth deteriorates in June
Industrial output grew 11.1% year-on-year in seasonally- and calendar-adjusted terms in June, which was a deterioration from May’s 25.0% increase. The notable deterioration came on the back of easing consumer goods and capital goods production.
On a seasonally- and calendar-adjusted monthly basis, industrial production fell 1.0% in June (May: +1.5% mom), the worst result since April 2020. Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth rose to 5.9% in June (May: +3.9%), signaling an improving trend in the industrial sector.
