Slovenia: Harmonized inflation drops in August
Harmonized inflation came in at 11.5% in August, down from July’s 11.7%. Looking at the details of the release, price pressures for transportation fell. Meanwhile, prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages, and housing and utilities, increased at a quicker pace.
Annual average harmonized inflation rose to 7.1% in August (July: 6.3%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation was steady, coming in at July’s 11.0% in August.
Lastly, harmonized consumer prices fell 0.10% in August over the previous month, swinging from the 0.90% increase logged in July. August’s result marked the sharpest fall in prices since March.
