Slovenia: Inflation increases in June to highest since 1996
Consumer prices increased 2.74% in June over the previous month, picking up from the 2.03% rise logged in May.
Inflation came in at 10.4% in June, which was up from May’s 8.1%. June’s figure represented the highest inflation rate since 1996. The stronger print was largely due to faster price increases for electricity, gas and other fuels; petroleum products; and food.
Annual average inflation rose to 5.5% in June (May: 4.8%). Lastly, harmonized inflation rose to 10.8% in June, from May’s 8.7%.
