Slovenia: Industrial output growth ebbs in June
Industrial output grew 0.7% compared to the same month a year earlier in June, which was a deterioration from May’s 2.9% increase. The slowdown was largely due to a deterioration in manufacturing output growth. Moreover, energy output continued to fall sharply, while mining output slipped into contraction.
On a seasonally-adjusted monthly basis, industrial production fell 0.2% in June (May: +0.7% mom). Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth fell to 4.9% in June (May: +6.3%). This signals a worsening trend in the industrial sector.
