Slovenia: Industrial activity deteriorates in September
Industrial output dropped 3.6% year-on-year in September (August: -1.5% yoy). September’s notable drop was largely due to a deterioration in manufacturing output, dragged down by lower automobile production. In contrast, mining and quarrying production gained steam.
On a monthly basis, industrial production decreased 0.4% in seasonally-adjusted terms in September, contrasting August’s 2.1% expansion and marking the first drop since April. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 5.4% in September, down from August’s minus 4.9% reading.
