Slovenia: Industrial production drops at sharpest pace since June 2009 in April
Industrial output fell 22.8% year-on-year in April (March: -7.6% yoy). April’s result marked the worst reading since June 2009. April’s figure was largely due to a dive in manufacturing output. Meanwhile, mining and quarrying production fell at a more moderate rate. The trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 0.8%, down from March’s plus 1.5%.
On a monthly basis, industrial production plummeted 14.7% in seasonally-adjusted terms in April, which was well below March’s 10.9% fall.
