Slovenia: Industrial production accelerates in October
The industrial sector accelerated markedly, growing 3.9% over the same month of the previous year in October, following a 0.5% year-on-year expansion in September. An upsurge in the growth of the mining and quarrying, and manufacturing sectors drove October’s print. Moreover, the contraction of the electricity, gas and steam sector softened from the previous month.
On a month-on-month basis, industrial output rebounded in October. It swung from a revised 2.0% drop over the previous month in September (previously reported: -2.1% month-on-month) to a 2.5% month-on-month increase in October. Despite the upturn, annual average growth in industrial production declined to 7.0% in October, down from 7.5% in September.
