Slovenia: Industrial output records slowest expansion since February in July
Industrial output rose 0.5% in year-on-year terms in July, which was a deterioration from June’s 0.8% increase. July’s outturn marked the worst reading since February. The figure was partly due to a deterioration in manufacturing output growth, which also expanded at the slowest pace since February. In contrast, mining and quarrying output dropped at a more moderate pace.
On a monthly basis, industrial production declined 1.2% in seasonally-adjusted terms in July, which was greater than June’s 0.3% fall. Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth fell to 4.3% in July (June: +4.9%).
