Slovenia: Industrial activity dips in December
Industrial output dropped 0.9% in December (November: -0.5% yoy). The downturn largely reflected a deterioration in mining and quarrying and electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply output. However, manufacturing output decreased at a softer pace.
On a seasonally-adjusted monthly basis, industrial output fell 0.7% in December (November: +0.3% mom), the worst result since April. Meanwhile, the trend pointed down, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 6.0% in December, down from November’s minus 5.9% reading.
