Slovakia: Inflation comes in at highest level since December 2004 in November
Consumer prices rose 0.54% from the previous month in November, broadly stable from October’s 0.59% increase. November’s result marked the weakest reading since August. The reading was driven by moderating price pressures for housing and utilities and transportation. In addition, prices for health dropped.
Inflation came in at 5.6% in November, which was up from October’s 5.1%. November’s reading marked the highest inflation rate since December 2004. Annual average inflation rose to 2.8% in November (October: 2.5%). Finally, harmonized inflation rose to 4.8% in November, from October’s 4.4%.
