Slovakia: Industrial output grows at quickest pace since June in December
Industrial output grew 8.8% compared to the same month a year earlier in December, which was above November’s 4.3% increase. December’s figure marked the best result since June. The rise was largely driven by an improvement in manufacturing output growth. In contrast, mining and quarrying production fell at a notably faster pace.
On a monthly basis, industrial output grew 0.8% in seasonally-adjusted terms in December, which was well below November’s 3.9% expansion. Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth rose to 10.4% in December (November: +10.2%), signaling an improving trend in the industrial sector.
