Serbia: Industrial production moderates in January
Industrial production growth softened to 6.3% in January from December’s 8.3% increase. January’s softer output came on the back of a sharp moderation in electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, while manufacturing production also weakened. On a brighter note, mining and quarrying output picked up in January. Meanwhile, average industrial production growth jumped to 1.2% in January from 0.2% in December.
On a month-on-month seasonally-adjusted basis, industrial production increased 2.8% in January contrasting December’s 0.8% fall.
