Romania: Inflation cools but remains elevated in November
Consumer prices flatlined over the prior month in November, following October’s 1.78% jump. Looking at the details of the press release, price pressures for food goods and services softened, while prices for non-food goods tumbled compared to October.
Inflation inched down to 7.8% in November from 7.9% in October, which had marked the joint highest inflation rate since June 2011. Meanwhile, the trend pointed up, with annual average inflation coming in at 4.5% in November (October: 4.1%).
