Poland: Business confidence rises to over one-year high in May
Business confidence rose to minus 0.3 in May from April’s minus 4.0. May’s result marked the strongest sentiment since February 2020. As such, the index moved closer to the 0-threshold, indicating pessimism among businesses.
May’s improvement was broad-based. Firms’ had better expectations of future order books, and their expectations of future production strengthened compared to the previous month, as did their expectations over their future personal financial situation as well as the future general economic situation.
