Mexico: Consumer confidence picks up in September
Consumer confidence came in at 43.4 in September, up from August’s 42.6. This was a result of across-the-board increases in the subsectors, with consumers becoming more upbeat regarding their personal economic situation over the past year, their personal economic situation over the next year, the general economic situation of the country over the past 12 months and the general economic situation of the country over the next 12 months. Moreover, consumers showed an increased willingness to make major purchases.
