Lithuania: Harmonized inflation falls to lowest level since April 2021 in October
Harmonized inflation dropped to 3.1% in October from September’s 4.1%. October’s result represented the lowest inflation rate since April 2021. The moderation was largely due to a slower rise in prices for recreation and for food and non-alcoholic beverages. In addition, price pressures for transportation declined at a quicker rate.
In turn, annual average harmonized inflation fell to 11.7% in October (September: 13.3%). Meanwhile, consumer price inflation fell to 2.8% in October, from September’s 3.7%.
Finally, harmonized consumer prices increased 0.34% from the previous month in October, below September’s 0.70% rise.
