Lithuania: Industrial output grows at fastest pace in 16 months in January
Industrial output jumped 7.2% in year-on-year terms in January, picking up from December’s 3.6% rise and marking the strongest increase since September 2019. Looking at the details of the release, manufacturing and energy supply output gained steam compared to December.
On a monthly basis, industrial output climbed 2.1% in seasonally-adjusted terms in January, following December’s 0.6% climb. Meanwhile, the trend continued to improve, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 0.9%, up from December’s minus 1.9%.
