Kenya: Inflation inches down in May
Consumer prices rose a seasonally-adjusted 0.63% from the last month in May, which was below the 0.86% increase logged in April. May’s reading largely reflected lower prices for restaurants and accommodation services compared to the previous month.
Inflation inched down to 5.5% in May, from April’s 5.6%. Moreover, annual average inflation ticked down to 5.5% in May (April: 5.6%).
