Kazakhstan: Industrial output growth speeds up in September
Industrial output increased 4.7% compared to the same month a year earlier in September, which was above August’s 1.9% increase. Looking at the details of the release, September’s pick up was broad-based, with the manufacturing and electricity, water and gas sub-sectors all accelerating. Moreover, mining and quarrying rebounded despite maintenance at Tengiz oil field likely hampering production.
Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth rose to 1.2% in September (August: +0.5%), which marked a one-year high.
