Kazakhstan: Industrial output growth loses pace in June
Industrial output expanded 1.7% year-on-year in June (May: +3.6% yoy). The weaker figure was mainly due to a deterioration in manufacturing output, which fell after recording growth in May. However, mining and quarrying output gained steam amid heightened oil production.
Meanwhile, the trend improved sizably, with the annual average variation of industrial production coming in at minus 1.6% in June, up from May’s minus 2.2%.
