Kazakhstan: Industrial output growth dips in January
Industrial output rose 2.9% compared to the same month of the previous year in January, which was a deterioration from December’s 8.9% increase. The slowdown was largely due to a deterioration in manufacturing and electricity production. In addition, mining and quarrying output lost steam.
Meanwhile, annual average industrial production growth rose to 4.2% in January (December: +3.6%), signaling an improving trend in the industrial sector.
