Italy: Economic growth moderates in Q4
February 12, 2016
In the fourth quarter of this year, GDP grew 0.1% over the previous quarter in seasonally- and working-day adjusted terms, according to an advance estimate released by the National Statistics Office (ISTAT) on 12 February. The result came in slightly below the 0.2% growth tallied in Q3 and undershot the stronger 0.3% growth that markets had expected. It also marked the lowest reading in a year. More detailed data will be released on 4 March.
In annual terms, GDP grew 1.0% in Q4, which was above the 0.8% rise observed in Q3 and marked the fastest expansion since Q2 2011.
